EKS Performance Benchmark Reports

5 min read

Performance reports and measurement plans for EKS. Check each report's evidence boundary and distinguish live measurements, published-source analysis, and local tool validation before using its conclusions.

AI Agents

The published measurements ran on Amazon Bedrock. EKS follow-up stages remain planned.

Ralph loop series: the existing Bedrock report is Part 1; Part 2's EKS baseline and Part 3's controlled optimizations have no measured results yet.

Benchmark Methodology

Assess results against the following criteria. Listing a report does not establish that it has met every criterion.

  1. Reproducibility: Test environment, tools, and configuration are specified
  2. Uncertainty: Report sample counts and distributions for each repetition, with evidence supporting any error bounds
  3. Fair Comparison: Measurements taken under identical conditions across comparison targets
  4. Real Workloads: Tests that closely resemble actual patterns are prioritized over synthetic benchmarks

Report Structure

A report should provide the following information. Mark unexecuted tests and missing verification evidence explicitly.

  • Test Environment: Cluster specs, node types, network configuration
  • Test Tools: Benchmark tools and versions used
  • Test Scenarios: Specific test case descriptions
  • Results: Data, charts, analysis
  • Recommendations: Optimization suggestions based on results
